Leather is unlike any other material I’ve worked with. Unlike wood, concrete, or metal, leather has a character of its own—each hide isunique in texture, strength, and feel. You can’t force leather to become something it’s not; the best work comes from understanding and working with its natural qualities.
That’s why I prefer choosing leather in person rather than buying in bulk online. Every piece tells its own story, and every project becomes something personal. Leather comes from living things, and in many ways, it continues to carry that sense of life and individuality into the finished piece.
That’s what draws me to leatherwork. It’s more than craftsmanship—it’s living art.
